    THE PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS TO PROVIDE DIRECT PAYMENTS TO COLLEGE AND POST-SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ON BEHALF OF NEEDY STUDENTS AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS WHO SEEK AN EDUCATION IN FURTHERANCE OF A CAREER IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT AND DEMONSTRATE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT GRANTEES WILL BE CURRENT OR FORMER INTERNS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE ATLANTA BRAVES MAJOR LEAGUE BALL CLUB, ITS AFFILIATES AND ONE OR MORE OTHER PROFESSIONAL SPORTS FRANCHISES.
