Maintain a sustainable ecosystem by education and active stewardship

Goals

1. 1.SBW are committed to accomplish our goal because of a shared love of the estuarine environment, knowing full well that it supports our economy, our health and an ineffable legacy for future generations. It is our belief that sustainable ecosystems are essential for the wellbeing of human communities, and that our goals can be accomplished through citizen action that is guided by sound science.
2. 2.To be successful SBW needs to increase our outreach and infrastructure to satisfy our growing organization. We have recently expanded our outreach to the City of Venice and Charlotte County. This expansion will increase our membership base, increase projects and events. Our youth/adult education programs need to be expanded to foster a passion for marine conservation.
3. 3.By consolidating tasks that are currently divided among 12 volunteers, we need to add a dedicated employee to innovate and improve existing communication as well as our outreach, which will reduce inefficiencies and improve communication to create a larger base of volunteers and donors
