Vision

To restore balance to our marine habitats in Massachusetts. Oysters are native to Massachusetts waters and years of pollution and over-harvesting have greatly decreased their population. We are committed to educating the public of the important role oysters play in the ecosystem and the reintroduction of oysters into local waters to improve water quality, marine habitat and coastal resilience.

Goals

1. 1.Double shells collected in shell recycling program by 2025
2. 2.Identify 1-2 new programs that will further the mission of Mass Oyster, in particular restoration sites to put oysters in to and use shell for substrate
