Amman Imman builds boreholes in West Africa’s Sahel region, in communities facing severe water scarcity. Drilling at least 600 feet to reach a live aquifer, Amman Imman installs a pump, pipeline and water tower to deliver water to community fountains.

If the program provides a year of clean water to one individual less than 75% of the estimated market cost of water in the country of operation, the program is deemed highly cost-effective and earns a score of 100. If the program provides a year of clean water to one individual for between 75% and 125% the estimated market cost of water, the program is considered cost-effective and earns a score of 80. If the program provides a year of clean water to one individual for greater than 125% the estimated market cost of water, it earns a score of 65.
