Vision

Our 10-year target is to be serving in 8 poor, densely-populated communities with a Community Care Center and Community Outreach in each community, we will own land and have built an office, a training center, 2 group homes for adults with disabilities and 3 emergency transit homes for vulnerable children with intellectual disabilities and 1 hospice home. We will be leading policy reform in Zambia, have a Community Outreach team that goes from province to province, and have 20 secondary school clubs at government schools. We will have 1 coaching support team working in schools willing to accept kids with intellectual disabilities. We will have 3 rural hubs with a Community Care Center, Community Outreach and Finding Joy transit home in each, in addition to the Lusaka city hub.

Goals

1. 1.Start 2 new Community Care Centers in very poor, densely packed slums in the capital city. This will increase our impact with the addition of 60 children with intellectual disabilities and their primary caregiver in each Center, bringing the total number of children and caregivers served to 600 weekly. This includes the training of 130 mothers/family members who care for these children.
2. 2.Continue developing our Community Care Centers to excellence, which are providing education to 180 children and 180 primary caregivers.
3. 3.Expand our Community Outreach teams into our existing compounds by training disability advocates in every site our Community Care Center children regularly would go, including clinics, churches, markets, schools, etc. We also plan to sensitize and educate 20 families living in direct contact with the children and families who attend our CCCs.
