Community Food and Agriculture Coalition

Mission

Our mission is to grow a healthy local food community by conserving farmland, supporting farmers, and making food accessible for all.

Vision

Farm Connect Montana believes in a Montana where houses, farms, and ranches thrive together; people are well-fed and food secure; family farms are supported within a community food system; and beginning farmers and ranchers can access agricultural land to feed the rest of us!

Goals

1.Expand the reach of Farm Connect Montana's proven programs so more farmers, families, and communities benefit statewide. Increase access to healthy local food through nutrition incentive programs, strengthen beginning farmer education and technical assistance, and connect more Montanans with local food and agriculture.
2.Respond to emerging community needs by developing innovative programs, partnerships, and policies that strengthen Montana's food system. Expand opportunities that improve food access, support farmers, conserve working lands, and create resilient local food economies through collaboration and continuous evaluation.
3.Build a strong, sustainable organization by investing in staff, leadership, financial resilience, governance, evaluation, and fundraising. Strengthen organizational capacity to ensure Farm Connect Montana can sustain and expand its impact for Montana communities over the long term.
