AFE Foundation

Mission

The AFE Foundation works to reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity from AFE by advancing research through our AFE Registry, promoting clinical education, expanding awareness, and supporting those affected by amniotic fluid embolism.

Vision

Amniotic fluid embolism no longer threatens lives and those with lived experiences thrive.

Goals

1.Advance clinical research to aid in better prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
2.Equipping providers to recognize and effectively treat patients experiencing an AFE.
3.Helping those who’ve been affected by an AFE better understand what AFE is, what happened physically, the emotional impact, and offer resources to aid their path forward.
