Goals

1. 1.In response to community needs, NYC Second Chance Rescue expanded programs that keep pets with the families who love them. Our Keep Families Together initiative provides emergency medical assistance, while new services include free microchipping, vaccination clinics, spaying and neutering, and pet food distribution for families facing hardship. Our goal is to increase these services by 50%.
2. 2.NYC Second Chance Rescue is working to expand our shelter capacity in order to help more animals in need across New York City. Our goal is to secure a larger facility that will allow us to rescue and rehabilitate more animals while also opening a community veterinary clinic to provide affordable care for families in need.
3. 3.NYC Second Chance Rescue supports lasting change by advocating for stronger animal welfare laws, stricter enforcement of cruelty offenses, and action against irresponsible backyard breeding. By working with the new mayoral administration and policymakers, we aim to advance protections for animals and strengthen accountability through education and advocacy.
