San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness

Mission

To facilitate partnerships, educate the community and member agencies, and advocate for appropriate housing and services in the San Gabriel Valley.

Vision

Educate, collaborate and advocate to end homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley.

Goals

1.The need for housing and homelessness services in San Gabriel Valley is greater than ever before, particularly in the Eastern San Gabriel Valley which has become somewhat of a services desert. The need for advocating for an educating the community about the needs of the homeless in this region are greater than ever before as affordable housing becomes more scarce and social safety nets disappear.
2.Our future goals include providing grants and small low and no interest loans to help people from falling into homelessness and providing direct services to help those falling into or currently experiencing homelessness navigate the complex and complicated network of government, private, and non-profit services available to them.
3.Ultimately, our housing summits will become the go-to events for people who work in homeless services to network with one another in order to further grow their reach and impact on homeless communities.
