Darbster Foundation Inc.

Mission

Our mission is to reduce the number of adoptable cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies that are being euthanized in Palm Beach County and South Florida. We are able to achieve our mission by partnering with animal shelters and rescue groups in the South Florida area to transport homeless pets to our facilities in New Hampshire and our rescue partners throughout New England.

Vision

The overarching goal of the organization is to save the lives of dogs and cats in South Florida from overcrowded shelters and place them in loving fur-ever homes through transport to our own and several partner shelters in New England that welcome pets for adoption. In addition, we focus on saving the lives of special needs dogs, bully breeds and elderly dogs that are often harder to adopt in Florida but can find loving homes up North.

Goals

1.Provide increased low/cost - no cost spay/neuter operations in hotspots utilizing our new Spay/Neuter Mobile unit in hot spot areas of West Palm Beach and Miami/Dade County.
2.To take on special needs dogs and cats, such as elderly with diabetes, those missing eyes/legs/tails, and those with long-term medical conditions to help find perfect matches in forever loving homes.
3.Increase the number of dogs rescued. In our fist year we rescued 140, in 2023 we rescued 787.
