Mission

ElderSource's mission is to empower people to live and age with independence and dignity in their home and community. We do this by utilizing state and federal dollars to contract with local provider agencies to deliver home and community based services to older adults. We then steward the funds to make sure the dollars are well and appropriately spent, the services are good quality and those most in need receive the services. Our Helpline provides information about various resources and assists people to get into much needed programs.

Vision

Older adults and adults with disabilities are valued and have the resources they need to live with dignity and security in an age and ability friendly community.

Goals

1.We receive calls every day from older adults who cannot afford to remain in their homes due to increasing rents, energy bill and other expenses. We talk to older adults who are facing homelessness for the first time in their lives. Our Board has determined to the need to look into developing housing that is affordable to older adults.
2.We have grant funds for our caregiver support services. We need more sustainable funding so we can continue to serve caregivers and to serve more caregivers.
3.Our Board of Directors and Leadership are committed to investing in our labor force, to reduce turnover, increase length of stay and continued development of knowledge and experience so we can provide the best services to our constituents.
