    Sunshine Haven Wildlife Rehabilitation

    Mission

    1. To perform early detection and control of zoonotic diseases caused by parasites, viruses, bacteria, and fungi on urban wildlife that could potentially put the public and their pets at high risk of outbreaks, and thus jeopardizing public health within the community. 2. To provide an outlet for taxpayers who have found orphaned or injured wildlife, so they see their efforts rewarded by our facilities providing veterinary care and wildlife rehabilitation. 3. To provide public education on potential abusive and cruel situations in order to put a stop to animal abuse, cruelty, and irresponsible behavior towards urban wildlife; to educate the public about such animals, habitat restoration, ecosystems, and potential zoonotic diseases. 4. To rehab orphaned and injured wildlife found within urban limits, until fit for release back in the wild.
