Vision

Everyone has potential. Not everyone has the opportunity to tap that potential. All humanity should have a chance to build lives of dignity, regardless of the circumstances to which they were born.

Goals

1. 1.To provide learning opportunities through which post-secondary students and other community members can achieve economic security. Skills (vocational) training, digital literacy and business/entrepreneurship basics are taught at our Center in Kilimanjaro. Our outreach includes sponsorships, academic skills seminars at government schools and a reusable feminine pad/ female health initiative.
2. 2.EBIC - The EdPowerment Business Incubation Center - reflects a shift of emphasis to vocational related skills training from university sponsorships. This responds to employment realities in Tanzania that favor those with locally needed skills in areas such as carpentry, cookery and tailoring, and electrical work, along with the ability to harness the Internet to build local business prospects.
3. 3.EdPowerment has moved much of its work to more rural and isolated areas in the Siha District of Kilimanjaro where the training and computer/internet access that we provide is generally not available. We offer practical learning resources that enable young people and community members whose academic possibilities are limited to nevertheless achieve economically viable lives.
