Vision

We work toward our mission through the pursuit of policies aligned to Believe in Better, our vision for the future, centered on five policy promises to America’s children: (1) The education that’s right for you, because every student learns differently. (2) Tutoring and care for every student in every community. (3) A world of open and connected learning, so you have the tools you need to strengthen your community and succeed in life. (4) A family’s right to know what’s working – it’s all about accountability. (5) A clear path to the career you choose. It’s about finding your fit and your pathway to a meaningful life.

Goals

1. 1.Advocate for the future of education: Ushering in a new era of education in the United States will take reaching more families, in more places, with greater speed, so that the change cannot be easily undone. We believe to do our part requires growth of the 50CAN network as well by going from reaching one in six of the nation’s children in 2024 to one in four of them by 2026.
2. 2.Spark new people, voices and ideas: Grow fellowships centered on new ideas, policy and communications to 6 fellowships by 2026. Indicators of success: (1) Secure more than 50 media stories promoting the Believe in Better policy framework and optimistic ideas for the future; (2) A robust, supportive fellowship alumni network, with 80% of fellowship alumni engaged formally twice annually.
3. 3.Build proof points and partner organizations: (1) Grow fiscal sponsorship program to 16 partner organizations by 2026. (2) Grow official partnership in the Believe in Better Coalition to 15 partner organizations by 2026.
