Mission

Experiences are how we learn. Experiences should be how we teach. Embarc helps make that happen. Embarc’s mission is to cultivate postsecondary success by inspiring students to build their social capital, stretch beyond the boundaries of their neighborhood, alter their world view, and seize opportunities in school and life. Embarc specializes in combining a robust curriculum with immersive, hands-on learning experiences that connect students to multiple aspects of the Chicago community while increasing academic performance and closing the opportunity gap.

Vision

Our goal is an education system that no longer fails students - especially students of color - and is the foundation for a more just, equitable, and anti-racist society. We offer a proven experiential learning model that enhances teacher performance, helps improve academic outcomes, and increases the likelihood of success after high school.

Goals
