Running for A Better Oakland

Mission

Through the rigors of a 5k, 10k, or half marathon training program, RBO aims to encourage Kindergarten - 12th grade Oakland students to build confidence and develop healthy lifestyles through running. By training weekly alongside skilled RBO coaches and volunteer run mentors, students learn to persevere through obstacles and overcome distances once thought impossible. Students develop critical life skills that can help them succeed in races and beyond the finish line.
