Mission

The Denver Post Community Foundation strives to fulfill its mission of improving and enriching the lives of those in our community through its programs and events, and by raising and distributing money to Denver area non-profits in the areas of arts and culture, children and youth, education, literacy, and the provision of basic human services.

Goals

1.New programs are continually reviewed and implemented based on observed changes and needs in the community. For example, we implemented a Book Club program as part of our Pen & Podium Lecture Series to increase constituents desire to build knowledge, community and network around author appearances/books.
2.As an example, in order to increase access within the nonprofit community in metro Denver to apply for funding to our Season To Share program, we implement a LOI (Letter of Invitation) program to allow for previously non funded nonprofits new to the program to present their request and prospective fit to guidelines.
3.The Denver Post Community Foundation very carefully reviews the impact and resources required for all programs and puts primary focus on our core programs that serve our mission.
