Vision

Our vision is to lean into the alignment between Bastion’s unique focus on relationship cultivation and the epidemic of loneliness across the veteran population to create positive impact among this population at scale. We will expand our unique and highly effective model of care beyond the physical limitations of the Bastion residential community, while continuing to refine and advance its application in the residential setting. This includes both the expansion of our programs at our original location and the replication of Bastion’s programs in other geographic locations nationwide.

Goals

1. 1.Our first strategic goal is establish a sustainable plan for the replication of our unique brain injury rehabilitation program, Headway, such that it can be delivered across multiple states nationwide. Such a plan must enable us to continue to iterate upon and refine the program through the creativity and flexibility that have already been our defining qualities.
2. 2.Our second goal is to use our new Veteran Wellness Center to establish a definitive hub of networked resources that can be easily accessed by any veteran across New Orleans, thereby leveraging not only our own strengths, but the strengths and specialties of our full array of local partners.
3. 3.Our third goal is to increase and strengthen our organizational capacity to meet the simultaneous demands of city-wide operations here in New Orleans, plus an increasing number of programs and operations in other states through the ongoing expansion of our Headway Program.
