Vision

A regenerating network of California's blue oak woodlands where native wildlife thrives, biodiversity flourishes, and people are reconnected with wilderness.

Goals

1. 1.Active Restoration Program: On our 40-acre site, demonstrate how building up the understory and expanding water sources including groundwater, vernal pools, and rain water capture can support wildlife population increases. Once we do this, we want to scale this across California’s 3.3 million acres of blue oak habitat.
2. 2.Wilderness Reconnection Program: Create transformative outdoor experiences that build lifelong stewards, supporting healthy people and healthy communities. Increase the number of overnight campers, complete campground enhancements and visitor center upgrades. Partner with youth-serving organizations.
3. 3.Governance & Leadership: Recruit 3-4 new board members to deepen the impact of our nonprofit. Our board meets quarterly and we’re working to enhance our governance systems. Fundraising: We are working to build relationships with potential funders - both foundation and individual donors. We need to raise another $300,000K a year. We need to enhance our donor stewardship and acknowledgment systems.
