We envision a reliable, robust, and fair agricultural supply chain that will improve the viability of regional farms and the health of communities who have historically suffered from inequity in the food system.

Goals

1. 1.Sourcing ● Recover the highest volume of the best quality produce possible ● Provide a meaningful experience to our volunteers Distribution ● Provide a sustainable and predictable supply of free, fresh produce to our Food Access Partners ● Continually improve the quality standards of the produce we distribute
2. 2.Boston Food Hub • Support farm viability and capacity • Provide mission-aligned customers and institutional partners with a reliable source for high quality, fresh, locally grown produce • Provide excellent customer service to our customers and farm partners • Create operational economies of scale
3. 3.Farming ● Maximize production on available farmland while also maintaining soil health ● Utilize infrastructure for season-extension ● Transition farming methods from conventional to regenerative ● Reduce dependence on use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides ● Create an ecological stewardship plan for Stonefield farm that includes native species and habitat protection
