Mission

To provide hope and a brighter future for at risk, food insecure children by providing them a weekly, weekend meal bag thru a vast group of donors, advocates and volunteers who work to help us end child hunger across the valley.

1.SOK is dedicated to feeding and serving the needs of food insecure children in CCSD, grades K-8 in the Valley. During the 2024-25 school year, we served 145,288 weekly food bags at 97 schools throughout Clark County Nevada. We at SOK are endeavoring to serve 160,000 weekly food bags to 98 schools during the 2025/26 school year. This is a slightly more than 10% increase over the prior school year.
2.Improve the overall health and academic performance of children by reducing weekly food insecurity, providing them with a pathway to succeed early on in their lives. Our children don't understand complex federal eligibility guidelines, or the fancy terminology used to designate their eligibility and need for food. They just know they are hungry.
3.Our foundation continues to grow our ability to serve more children in the community. Our ability to create awareness within the community concerning child food insecurity has increased. This is evident through our ability to grow our donations and balance sheet from year to year and increase our children served by 10% year over year.
