Vision

Regardless of the cause or condition, many individuals living with disability experience social isolation and lack of purposeful engagement in their lives. Rose of Sharon Equestrian School seeks to measurably improve the quality of life within this population by providing structured learning experiences and evidence-based therapeutic services in partnership with second-career horses who have demonstrated a proclivity toward meaningful human-horse interactions.

Goals

1. 1.Rose of Sharon Equestrian School is approaching 25 years of service in the community. The benfits of the program have beem demostrated time and again causing our reputation to grow in a positive way. Yet, in all that time, the organization has had to continue placing many individuals on a waiting list.
2. 2.We seek to find ways to meet the growing demand for our services. While we have been able to make facility changes poised to absorb increased numbers of participants, we have not been able to secure the funding required to hire staff.
3. 3.We have operated as a majority volunteer-based organization for nearly two decades. The time has come to invest in the capacity of our organization by developing financial sustainability and by increasing professional staff.
