Mission

We’re on a mission to eliminate poverty. Cincinnati Works partners with all willing and capable people living in poverty to assist them in advancing to economic self-sufficiency through employment. For over 29 years we have empowering our clients (whom we call Members) to improve their professional stability and financial wellness. Our model includes job readiness, retention, and advancement, not simply job placement. We have forged and nurtured relationships with a wide range of employers and non-profit agencies throughout Greater Cincinnati, giving our staff a unique insight into the local job market. We know frontline workers - what it takes for them to get a job, get to the job, and be their best on the job, so they can build stable careers and fulfilling lives.

1.Member Empowerment. We are committed to supporting our Members in building self-confidence and self-determining their path out of poverty. We provide meaningful relationships, coaching excellence, training, and wraparound support to help our Members achieve professional and personal development.
2.Cincinnati Works Staff Empowerment. We will tenaciously pursue staff development to equip our team to serve our Members with excellence and compassion while pursuing their own career dreams. Our comprehensive curriculum sets clear expectations for professional education within structured learning paths for each staff role.
3.Employer Experience. We will strengthen existing employer partnerships and expand Workforce Connection to increase job stability and economic mobility for the frontline workforce. Our Next Generation Workforce initiative will develop talent pipelines in the Construction, Manufacturing, and Healthcare sectors.
