CURE envisions a future: - Where people take the lead and act together to sustain the landscapes they inhabit. - Where communities flourish through fostering human diversity and inclusion, fairness and justice, environmental protection and healing. - Where cultural and individual differences are recognized as a community asset and democracy as an indispensable practice.

Goals

1. 1.With the new IRA announcements, we have an opportunity to move rural electric coops towards renewable energy options and away from fossil fuel energy generation with support.
2. 2.Our Rural Democracy program crosses all our program areas and has increasingly become important in making sure that rural America does not get left behind or become a front-line community.
3. 3.We need to secure funding in our advocacy against CO2 pipelines in rural places without agency. They are a false climate solution on the backs of taxpayers and rural communities. We need to secure funding to continue our education and advocacy for communities around data center development. Hyper-scale data centers are extremely energy and water consumptive-they do not serve rural communities.
