Mission

Old Savannah City Mission is a Gospel ministry with a mission "To change lives through preaching the Gospel, feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, rehabilitating the addict, and restoring the ex-offender. Programs include Gospel services Mon-Sat @ noon and 7:00 pm with lunch served at 1 pm and dinner served at 8 pm; 2 Bible Studies and/or Life Skills classes taught Mon-Fri 7-7:50 am and 8-8:50 am; emergency shelter with 91 beds; Urban Training Institute-the Mission's residential recovery/transitional programs: CLEAN START-Assists men with alcohol and drug addictions, FRESH START-Serves men from prison who come to faith in Christ; 3 nutritious meals served daily to men, women & children; weekly distribution of meals to inner city children; Families in Crisis-food and clothing program with clergy/agency referrals; two Bargain Centers with all proceeds funding the Mission's programs. Old Savannah City Mission does not apply for nor receive any federal, state, county or city funding

1.It has always been our mission to serve all individuals in need. We are unfortunately incapable of providing housing for homeless women and children in our current facilities.
2.Our Urban Training Institute focuses on preparing men for lifelong success. We seek to expand programs that focuses on skillsets (technology) that will be more viable in an ever-changing workplace.
3.In 2019 we had our first 5K Run. Along with our annual Day of Great Thanksgiving, it is our goal is to add two more event to our calendar. It is crucial to increase our exposure in the community.
