The Dayton Foundation's mission is "We help you help others through philanthropy and community leadership." The Dayton Foundation is the regional community foundation serving the Greater Dayton area in Ohio. Established in 1921, the Foundation has helped people to help others by managing more than 4,400 charitable funds that have distributed more than $1.5 billion in grants to nonprofits locally and nationwide. As the region's oldest and largest community foundation, The Dayton Foundation provides unmatched services, resources and counsel to help individuals achieve their charitable giving goals. It also supports other nonprofits through funding and operational guidance, while working to build a better Dayton by identifying key issues and convening the people and organizations best equipped to address them.
