New Earth Organization

New Earth provides mentor-based arts, educational, vocational programs and wrap-around services that empower at-promise youth ages 13-25 and their families. We support youth to reimagine their lives, move towards positive life choices, and discover their genius as future leaders of tomorrow. We are causing a cultural shift.

We help system-impacted youth reimagine and rediscover their power.

Goal One: We are increasing access to our program, highlighting new space sizes and capacities. We are searching for new innovative ways to fill up our space with students and resources.

Goal Two: We are focusing on developing a more active leadership board and creating a sustainable funding model that is more aligned with the social enterprise model.

Goal Three: We are investing more time and resources to share our organization's outcomes and enrichment programming. We are expanding our development department so our youth have a bigger platform.

We have paid for our leadership team members to attend professional development seminars, retreats, and in-office training. Our Staff is required to participate in resilience training to decrease burnout.

We have created relationships with Culver City Unified School District, Culver City Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, The Boeing Company, and other grassroots organizations to ensure our impact is in tandem with other community's efforts.

While navigating a new partnership we experienced delays and roadblocks. We were contracted to provide services by the superintendent, the partnership rollout was not as effective as it could have been. There was a lot of pushback from teachers unions and counselors. When faced with this, our organization continued to show up, be as transparent as possible, and be open to explaining the work we do with kindness and clarity. With more intentional meetings, invitations to learn more about New Earth through events, and attending school board meetings - we were able to create better relationships with those who were hesitant about the collaboration.
