Vision

The Conservation Angler is protecting wild fish for future generations. We fight for the protection of wild Pacific anadromous fish populations throughout the Northwest, all the way to Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. We rely on the best available science to guide our efforts. We’d rather make friends than enemies—but we’re not afraid to stand our ground and raise our voice to ensure the well-being of wild fish populations that have no voice of their own.

Goals

1. 1.The urgency and need for bold action to protect the Pacific Northwest's iconic wild salmon and steelhead requires increasing our overall policy advocacy and and growing our communications and outreach about the importance of wild fish based on the established body of scientific understanding of their diversity, productivity, spatial distribution and abundance.
2. 2.The urgency and need for bold action to protect the Pacific Northwest's iconic wild salmon and steelhead requires increasing our policy and legal advocacy before elected and appointed decisionmakers and in the courtroom so that existing laws to protect wild salmon and clean water are enforced. The current international situation does not allow us to fully operate the Kamchatka Steelhead Project.
3. 3.As our small nonprofit has grown, we need to grow our finance, communications and operations to keep pace with the scale of our program growth.
