SHARED VOICES

Mission

Shared Voices exists to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities for creative expression, artistic development, and community participation through music, dance, performance, and crafts.

Vision

A world where individuals with IDD have equal access to creative education, artistic community, and public platforms that celebrate their abilities.

Goals

1.• Increase all core programs from monthly to weekly sessions. • Launch a Seasonal Performance Series featuring participant-created music, dance, and art. • Develop accessible curriculum materials for caregivers and partner organizations. • Introduce a Traveling Arts Workshop to bring programs to additional disability centers.
2.Shared Voices originated as a volunteer-led creative workshop series serving adults with IDD. These early activities included: • Weekly music sessions involving rhythm instruments, group singing, and guided listening. • Informal performances at community events, allowing participants to share their work. • Early partnerships with local disability support centers.
3.Long-Term Vision (End of Year 3) • Operate in at least three partner locations. • Offer 6–8 program sessions per week. • Maintain stable donor relationships and consistent grant support. • Establish Shared Voices as a regional leader for IDD arts programming.
