Vision

The Shaker Historical Society envisions a dynamic community that learns from and is inspired by the stories of the past to build a vibrant and inclusive future.

Goals

1. 1.Expand access to permanent collection through CatalogIt collections database to allow the public, scholars, students, and staff to more easily view and utilize the museum's holdings.
2. 2.Revise membership levels and craft strategies for membership drives and engagement initiatives to grow member involvement, address feedback, and bolster our financial stability.
3. 3.Begin a board training program focusing on governance, responsibilities, fundraising strategies, and other best practices to empower leadership with skills to nurture and expand the organization.
