United Way of Lake County

Mission

United Way of Lake County (UWLC) works to measurably improve the quality of people's lives in Lake County. UWLC provides an effective channel through which the community may participate in a voluntary, cooperative effort to identify, evaluate, support and fund current human service needs in Lake County. We focus on improving the community for all residents in the areas of education, financial stability, and health.

1.We will support resources that maximize early development to increase the number of Lake County kids that are Kindergarten ready.
2.We will provide support to programs that address chronic and behavioral health issues and invest in preventative care.
3.Partners will work to eliminate barriers to self-sufficiency by addressing transportation, adult education, stable housing, emergency services, banked savings, life skills, food insecurity, safety.
