United Way of Greater Lafayette

Mission

United Way mobilizes our community to action so all can thrive. For over 100 years, we have partnered with local nonprofits, businesses, community leaders, donors and volunteers to create solutions that address the most complex challenges that no single person or organization can solve alone. True to our founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our community, United Way is there. We bring a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and responding to local needs. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, we’re working towards a future where every person can thrive.

Vision

United Way will add value to the Greater Lafayette community by enabling people to help one another. It will provide leadership in defining community needs and in coordinating resources to address community issues.

Goals

1.We have several core program and have focused our efforts on having them make the biggest impact that they can. We continue to expand these programs across the region as a need is identified.
2.United Way of Greater Lafayette is a change agent. When a problem is identified we will work with the community to identify viable solutions. Our community asked us to lead an initiative around affordable and attainable housing. We have established the Tippecanoe Housing Solutions Coalition and are working on a community plan to alleviate some of the housing pressures our community is facing.
3.We will continue to invest into the organization so that we have the resources and capacity necessary to achieve our goals and serve out our mission.
