Indiana Canine Assistant Network Inc. (ICAN)

Mission

ICAN trains and places assistance dogs who serve individuals with disabilities, both in one-to-one teams and as facility dogs working with trained education, health and trauma professionals; ICAN also provides foundational life skills to inmates in three Indiana prisons, through their experience as trainers. Our mission is to advocate for independence and opportunity by facilitating partnerships between people and dogs to unleash possibility; in 2023 alone directly served more than 5,540 Indiana adults and children.
