One Hope United

Mission

One Hope United (OHU) is a nonprofit providing early childhood education, child and family services, behavioral and mental health resources, and residential programs for 130 years. OHU proudly serves over 10,000 children and families each year across Illinois and Florida. Through evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, OHU empowers children and families to see and create a future where, regardless of their past, they can reach their full potential.

Vision

One Hope United seeks to advance child and family services through effective evidence-based practices, policies that focus on nurturing healthy families, and partnerships that extend its reach.

Goals

1.One Hope United (OHU) is an established sector leader and mission-driven organization. As a trusted children and family service provider, OHU has been asked to offer additional support and we are ready to answer the call and meet the growing need for quality child-focused programming.
2.As we grow our capacity to meet community needs, One Hope United will expand programs like Hope House—currently in Florida—into Illinois in 2025. This innovative “family home” model supports youth ages 13–17 in child and family services, often also in juvenile justice, emphasizing connection, understanding, love, and acceptance.
