Mission

The Cradle provides ethical services for infants, expectant parents, adoptive parents and adopted persons, and facilitates domestic and international adoptions. Our onsite Nursery admits newborns whose birth parents are considering an adoption plan. Our expectant parent counselors provide support to hundreds of women facing unplanned pregnancies each year. Our adoptive parent services include counseling, home studies and comprehensive education on raising an adopted child. Our Ardythe and Gale Sayers Center for African American Adoption is committed to finding stable, nurturing families for black and biracial babies. Our online educational resource, AdoptionLearningPartners.org, offers interactive e-learning courses and webinars on a wide range of adoption-related topics. Finally, our Center for Lifelong Adoption Support provides extensive post adoption resources and support to Cradle adult adoptees, birth parents and adoptive families.
