Shriners Hospitals for Children

Mission

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment at no charge - regardless of financial need.

The vision of Shriners Hospitals for Children is to serve more children in more locations than ever before.

Goals

1.Increasing our access points of care beyond hospital locations (outpatient, clinics, telehealth, etc.) provide more opportunities for kids in need of specialized care, regardless of their location.
2.Wrap-around patient care in mind, body and spirt is the cornerstone goal. Caring for the whole patient ensures a well transitioned and confident child.
3.Research and the Genomics Institute remains a primary goal for the discovery of new treatments and cures for the conditions we care for. Findings today will support patients far into the future.
