Children's Oncology Services

Mission

Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services is a leader in providing empowering, supportive, educational and fun experiences for children (5-19) who have been diagnosed with cancer. We are the only local organization to offer 11 free in-person camps as well as our CONNECTED digital programs, throughout the year serving pediatric cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Thanks to our 400 annual volunteers, including medical professionals, serving children who are in different stages of treatment have the ability to attend our Camp One Step programs. For more than 43 years, our organization has served more than 19,500 campers.

Goals

1.Create and launch a Podcast that is focused on helping families through a first time cancer diagnosis. We completed our first Podcast season in 2022 and will launch season 2 in 2023.
2.Rebrand current digital programming and create new content to expand the reach of our mission. We conducted 3 Connected programs in 2022 and served an additional 600 campers.
3.As we were only able to run two in-person programs over the last two years, goal was to run a minimum or seven in-person programs in 2022. We will finish with nine this year.
