Covid forced us to move our professional development activities online. We subscribed to a virtual events platform and moved our signature events there. We were able to attract attendance from a broader base of alumni, students and parents because no one had to travel. Post George Floyd, there was a lot of civil unrest and we could no longer rely on the institutional support of Babson College. Like many other places, the turnover was simply too high to be reliable. When Babson College opted to sever our partnership, we formed Connected Affinity Networks as a 501(c)3 to continue the the work we had consistently done for years throughout our partnership. We also subscribed to a cloud based CRM system maintain relationships with our network and keep them abreast of our activities via a monthly newsletter.
