    Incorporated in 1959, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation is dedicated to advancing the long term development, health and well-being of the specialty and the public it serves through financial support of research and education consistent with the goals of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Research and education are critical to making advances in the specialty. The Foundation's yearly funding of research awards and fellowships allows the specialty to develop new areas of scientific study which will affect the treatment of patients now and for years into the future.
