Macoupin County Adopt A Pet

Mission

At Macoupin County Adopt-A-Pet, a no-kill animal shelter, our mission is to provide a safe haven for homeless animals. We are committed to nurturing the well being of each resident animal, promoting responsible pet ownership and advocating for the humane treatment of all animals. Through our adoption, foster, education and community outreach programs, we strive to ensure that every animal has a loving home. We are dedicated to being “a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves”.

Goals

1.To have a strategic plan with clearly defined job descriptions give clarity to the structure and operation of our Shelter, and an understanding of the role of the Board of Directors.
2.To establish a recruitment program for employees, fosters and volunteers allowing for pertinent training, support and professional development as required.
3.To explore more innovative methods of finding new homes for long term residents to shorten their stay at the shelter, while providing them with increased comfort and enrichment during their stay.
