Karam Foundation Nfp

Mission

Karam Foundation has impacted and improved the lives of over 100,000 Syrians since 2011. As a Syrian-led organization with a staff that is 50% displaced Syrians, we provide tools and opportunities for Syrian youth and families to reach their full potential. We operate in Reyhanli, Turkiye and have provided support across Istanbul, Jordan, Lebanon, and the US. In 2025, we resumed our work in Syria to support families returning home and rebuilding.

Vision

Karam means “generosity” in Arabic. With authenticity, expertise, bravery, and generosity, Karam works to restore dignity and expand opportunity for Syrian youth and young adults affected by conflict and displacement. Through a holistic model of innovative learning, entrepreneurial development, and community-driven support, Karam builds pathways to leadership, success, and self-determination, with the goal of empowering 10,000 Young Leaders by 2028. With programming in Turkiye and Syria, Karam serves displaced and returning families while also investing in local communities to promote long-term integration, stability, and shared growth.
