Heart of West Michigan United Way's mission is to unite community resources to invest in solutions that reduce poverty in West Michigan.

Our vision is a thriving community for all. We believe we should live in a community where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.

1.Diversify revenue to ensure financial health. We need to find alternative sources of revenue to continue to be able to invest in current programs that reduce poverty in West Michigan.
2.Develop a digital-first platform to reach non-workplace donors. We must communicate with all donors based on their interests and in the way they want to receive information.
3.Invest in solutions that reduce poverty. We ensure a ROI on our donors' dollars by creating impact- through meeting the needs of the community and accelerating outcome-focused innovation. Expand the Volunteer Center in Allegan and Ottawa Counties. Help companies and organizations develop volunteer policies.
