YPSILANTI MEALS ON WHEELS SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY'S HOMEBOUND ELDERLY, ILL AND DISABLED RESIDENTS WITH HOME-DELIVERED MEALS, SOCIAL CONTACT, PET FOOD AND SUPPLIES, PERSONAL GOODS AND OTHER SUPPORTS TO HELP THEM LIVE HEALTHIER, SAFER AND MORE INDEPENDENT LIVES.

1.High-quality meals addressing medical and cultural requirements. Meaningful social connections and conversations to identify additional needs. Clients are supported, independent, and comfortable aging in the place. Part of a network of community referral partners geared toward preserving safety and independence. Pet Program is sustained by community partnerships.
2.Adapting services to meet cultural and dietary preferences. Engaging diverse volunteers and supporters. Valuing everyone; clients, staff, volunteers, and supporters, for who they are. Community engagement initiatives promote various entry points for individuals to receive services.
3.Training for CCAs and volunteers to report client issues. Reducing delivery route lengths for more interaction time. Equipment to provide the best quality product possible. Flexible delivery schedules to best meet client needs and staff/volunteer availability. Multifaceted funding approach: grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, government funding.
