Mission

Seva is a global nonprofit eye care organization that works with local communities around the world to develop self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight.<br><br>Seva builds sustainable eye care systems worldwide by creating equitable access to eye care, building capacity of new and existing eye hospitals and systems, and collecting and learning from evidence.

Vision

SEVA'S VISION A world free of avoidable blindness. Restoring sight is one of the most cost-effective interventions to reduce poverty. With clear vision, those you help can return to work and school and live more fulfilled lives. Seva works in over 20 countries to increase the capacity of local hospitals, and develop sustainable eye care programs.

Goals

1.Vision Centers- Through our “Envision” initiative we will establish 65 new VCs across India. These VCs collectively create access to eye care for 4 million more people in the country.
2.Technology- Our innovative wide-field retinal camera, Vistaro, is able to detect and diagnose conditions that originate at the back of the eye, including CMV Retinitis and diabetic retinopathy.
3.Training & Job Creation- We hire and train ophthalmologists, ophthalmic support staff, and community outreach workers directly from the communities they serve. This strengthens the local economy.
