    Mission

    Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) Upper Michigan Chapter is part of a national network of volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We offer to people of goodwill the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life. Since 1982, LBFE Upper Michigan has provided friendship and essential services to lonely and socially isolated older adults through our signature Friendly Visiting Program, holiday celebrations, social events, non-emergent medical transportation, firewood assistance and more. In FY 2024 we served 1,622 older adults with the support 1,214 volunteers who gave 13,277 hours of their time.
