Describe an investment in leadership
We restructured our staffing model and created two new leadership positions. These Directors are mentored by the ED. We meet weekly as a Leadership Team (ED, Director of Development and Communications, Director of Service Programs, and Circles Program Director) to discuss issues related to the whole agency, as well as our particular areas. We take turns in leading the development of solutions to agency-wide issues. Additionally, we invest in training via local consultants, online classes and webinars.

We are continuously initiating and strengthening our partnerships with many other local nonprofits that serve low-income people through referrals, conversations, and service coordination. We participate in the local nonprofit network called Barrier Busters.

The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
One of our primary programs is a relationship-based program called Circles. The goal of Circles is to walk with families and individuals whose goal is to get out of poverty. The program does that by surrounding the family/individual with resources and supporters and by pairing them with two Allies. Those Allies act as supporters, cheerleaders, brainstormers, researchers, and friends. While so much of that program energy comes from the weekly meeting and meal, we pivoted to using the Zoom platform for our weekly meetings. While not the same, it did allow that cohort of Circle Leaders to continue and complete their two-year program.
