SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary
Mission
At SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary, our mission is to open our doors and our hearts to farmed animals who have endured abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We provide lifelong sanctuary, safety, and exceptional care, giving each individual the chance to experience peace and comfort and the freedom to be themselves. Through their stories and our outreach, we work to inspire compassion, encourage a shift toward a kinder, plant-based lifestyle, and champion dignity, respect, and justice for every animal.
Vision
We envision a world where every animal’s life is valued, their individuality is honored, and their capacity for joy and connection is recognized. SASHA Farm is a place where healing flows both ways: rescued animals rediscover trust and happiness, and in caring for them, people find deeper compassion, purpose, and connection. Together, we strive toward a future free from cruelty and full of hope for animals and the people who love them.
Goals
- 1.SASHA Farm is strengthening its core mission of rescuing and providing lifelong sanctuary to farmed animals by securing permanent ownership of its 40-acre Manchester, Michigan sanctuary. Land security eliminates displacement risk and ensures stable, long-term planning so every resident animal receives safe, responsible, lifelong care.
- 2.SASHA Farm is strengthening existing sanctuary programs by upgrading critical infrastructure that directly supports animal care, including electrical modernization, whole-property backup power, reliable water systems, fencing improvements, weather-resilient shelters, and specialized housing for aging and special-needs residents.
- 3.SASHA Farm is strengthening long-term organizational capacity by expanding professional staffing, improving operational systems and governance, maintaining responsible financial reserves, and strengthening emergency preparedness to ensure stable management and lifelong protection for every resident animal. We are a LEAP partner sanctuary to further our educational endeavors and community outreach.
