Mission

The Neenah Animal Shelter exists to humanely care for lost, surrendered, neglected, impounded and abandoned pets until loving, forever homes are found for them. Our LifeFirst™ philosophy is a commitment to never euthanize any animal because of lack of space or funding, but to save, restore and rehome all adoptable animals under our care. Our goal is to improve the quality and strength of the bond between people and their pets through education and example.

Vision

Vision: To see the end of abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals in our community by providing: a safe place for animals, where they are cared for medically, physically, and emotionally until they are placed with their forever home.

Goals

1.To fully equip our surgical suite in our new building so that we can provide provide community spay/neuters and vaccination clinics, as well as provide medical procedures for the animals to ready for adoption.
2.To enhance our outdoor play areas for the dogs with better surface materials as well as outdoor enrichment opportunities.
3.Continuing education for our volunteers and animal care staff to keep updated and abreast of improvements for the stay of the animals in need, providing exceptional customer service to adopters and people who need to surrender, and to make great adoptions and great success stories for both the animals and their people.
