How COVID-19 impacted the organization's operations financially:
Irish Festivals Inc was unable to conduct our annual signature fund raising event, Milwaukee Irish Fest in 2020. We, instead, did conduct a virtual event for 4 days which was widely praised as a success. Although we were unable to generate the revenue we are accustomed to, we were able to control cost and generate revenue to mitigate our losses this year.

Irish Festivals Inc was unable to conduct our annual signature fund raising event, Milwaukee Irish Fest in 2020. We, instead, did conduct a virtual event for 4 days which was widely praised as a success.
How this organization adapted to changing conditions caused by COVID-19:
We conducted several virtual events and through fund raising and outreach were able to mitigate losses for this year. We subsequently secured two PPP grants and an SVOG grant from the government.

CelticMKE has, and continues to, provide consulting and seminars to enhance the capacity of other organizations with similar missions. We were part of the creation of the Association of Irish and Celtic Festivals (AICF) and continue in the leadership of this organization.
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
Recognizing the challenges that came from COVID, CelticMKE created a virtual presentation of Milwaukee Irish Fest and delivered this program world wide. This was such a success that we have decided to offer a virtual component to our festival each year going forward.
