    Mission

    The Minnesota Orchestra's mission is to enrich, inspire, and serve our community as an enduring symphony orchestra internationally recognized for its artistic excellence.<br><br>Now in its second century and led by Music Director Osmo Vänskä, the Minnesota Orchestra ranks among America's top symphonic ensembles and has a distinguished history of acclaimed performances in its home state and around the world, numerous award-winning recordings, and a suite of innovative education and community engagement programs.<br><br>The ensemble presents nearly 175 programs each year. Concerts and other activities are attended by live audiences totaling 300,000 at Orchestra Hall and other venues. More than 1 million others tune in to hear live and recorded concert broadcasts, including weekly Friday night broadcasts on Minnesota Public Radio.
